I would like to see Guitar Hero 4 relesed by June. Following that it would be sweet if they released GH ENCORE: ROCKS THE 70S (loaded with Zeppelin, Van Halen from VH1 and VH2, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Heart, Black Sabbath, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Kiss, Alice Cooper and on and on.
if you get game informer, it has like 5 pages on it and it says that it will be released around late fall. i really would like to know how much it will be, considering it is basically a newer, better, rockband.

What would make this next game really great is some more boss battles, like maybe one after every set. It would be so much more fun facing off against heroes like Jimmy Paige, Eric Clapton, Hendrix, Angus Young, Peter Frampton, etc. That would rock!!!

dude D: hendrix was THE first guitar player that started using guitar efects in the right way, without hendrix music wouldn’t be the same, and I’m not talking about rock music or pop music and stuff I’m talking about music that ABUSES the guitar effects take metal and all it’s derivates for an example, you might want to spend more time studying about real rock musicians than trying to play your guitar.

Put more new metal on GH 4 imo. In flames is awesome on GH3, and we neeeed to see some children of bodom on there at least! Soilwork, more killswitch engaged and just more metal (not so much the 80’s stuff) would be amazing.

But I think the reason why GH has only had 1 A7X song (beast and the harlot) is because most of their songs have lyrics with crude language and they want to keep the game rated T. But if they could find a couple good ones and edit them for GH4, that’d be kick-ass. I think they should do Waking the Demon for BFMV too. But what they really need is a little Queensryche. Jet City Woman or Eyes of a Stranger would be a good song choice, or either Hysteria or Foolin’ by Def Leppard.

I think our horizons should be expanded a little bit more, in spirit of GH3. The game introduced a number of punk bands, and some oddities like Tenacious D.
I do sympathize with the notion that Nu Metal is left out of the games for the most part, but understandable because they feature very short or non-existant guitar solos. Nonetheless, it should be covered:
Korn, “Shoots and Ladders” or “Freak on a Leash” (will probably be more fun for someone doing bass than guitar).
Tool, “Prison Sex”
Papa Roach, “Last Resort” or “Getting Away with Murder”
Staind, “Mudshovel”
3 Doors Down, “Kryptonite”
Deftones, “Back to School” though songs like “Bored” from the Adrenaline album will be closer to thrash/speed metal and more difficult.
Grunge:
“Smells like Teen Spirit” or “Rape Me”
“Rusty Cage” Soundgarden

I think that putting the Funtwo Jerry C version of Canon would be a nice bonus track. It could be equilant to “through the fire and flames” and would really challenge the player. The rock stuff is ok, isnt guitar hero based off of bands that people know well? i hadnt heard of almost 1/4th of the bands in GH3, and half the songs were horrible in GH3, and i believe that GH3 got a bad rating in a magazine because of slipknot? bullshit. They need more metal, not just all rock. Put in like Black dahlia murder (Deathmask Divine)/All that remains (GH2), Arch enemy (Nemesis), I killed the prom queen (Say goodbye/Your shirt would look better with a columbian neck tie), its still retarted. i love guitar hero. i just hate alot of the songs.

I’ve heard of each one of those bands but I don’t think their material would fit GH very well. I’d like to see November 5 1955 (We Are Rainbow Bridge), Protest the Hero (Bloodmeat, well actually all of Fortress
), Veil of Maya (It’s not safe to swim today), John Petrucci (Glasgow Kiss), Rush (Spirit Of Radio), Converge (Heaven In Her Arms), Dethklok (Thunderhorse), John Mayer (Slow Dancing In a Burning Room), John Butler Trio (Zebra), and Jimmy Eat World (Futures). I think GH focuses too much on Classic Rock, Hard Rock, and Nu-metal which really just is a different form of Hard Rock.
I wouldn’t mind seeing the following songs on Guitar Hero 4:

I’d like to see a modern rock hits GH. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a HUGE classic rock fan. But I liked that Legends had some Killers, AFI, and Weezer on it. We’ve had 80’s and a mixture, and now we have Aerosmith coming up, and I think it would be fun to have an ALL modern rock GH as well.

Zeppelin is mainly controled by Jimmy Page’s company, and he is extreemly restrictive where his songs are placed. So far he’s only let one album onto itunes.

i think they shud have sum more recent stuff 2, like breaking benjamin, limp bizkit n linkin park. dont get me wrong the older stuff is irreplacable but it wud b nice 2 see more of a variety n sum more up-2-date bands, reaching out 2 a wider audience. or at least more packs n options for those who dont no sum of the older tunes.
