Unfortunatly GH 4 is coming out on the ps2 version (I believe a different company will be doing its own version on each system) however it is going to be all aerosmith, what a drag. More metal the game needs to get harder to keep it fun for the people who beat GH3 and the only way to do it is to put much more metal in it because lets face it metal songs have by far the most complex guitar riffs and solo’s in them so put some proper heavy death metal in it =) or if not why not realease a metal specific game like u did wen u realeased the 80’s rock version!

PS2 Hater has a point; owning a Nintendo 360, Gamecube, PS2, or Xbox nowadays is like owning Windows 98 or 2000. I do use an Xbox 360, but I find that making fun of the other consoles is stupid and pointless since all have flaws.

As for Guitar Hero IV, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith better not actually be GHIV.

Imo there should be some technical death metal bands and maybe some more power metal bands. seriously Morbid Angel’s Maze of Torment as a shitload of solos and Behold The Arctopus is insanly progressive and technical! Some Opeth or even Death would be freakin awesome and power metal like Children of Bodom, Stratovarious, Blind Guardian or WINTERSUN… seriously put more metal and no crap stuff like slipknot or hatebreed whos riffs are terribly easy to play on a real guitar… hail

Xbox controlls suck? That’ll be why the 360 controller was voted best console control device then, the fact that the PS’s controller has not changed is testimony to SONY’s laziness and lean toward younger children because real MEN have trouble with that tiny unweighted jap device. I have PS3, 360 and PC and have been gaming for over 25 years. The 360’s controller is well laid out and weighted correctly the only thing the PS3’s controller is better at doing is holding its battery charge longer, the 360’s battery sucks.
Enough of the banter, what was I here for?

There really needs to be more older songs in the harder sets. One problem I had was that nearly all the songs in the last few sets were not old at all. The next installment needs to put some harder older songs. Also I think its an injustice to not have one Hendrix song in any of the games. Even though some criticize him for not playing fast any of his sings like Purple Haze, Manic Depressant, or even Foxy Lady would be good for one of the first few sets. One more thing. I will be so disappointed if they do not put Panama on this game. They need a better Van Halen song on the game than “You Really Got Me.”

i happen to own a wii too. its no childs console, get over yourself. 360s r cool dont get me wrong but they would lose product if they didnt make it for PS2. besides wasnt GH originally made for the PS2 anyway… hmm thnk about that. wii controls r alot better than xbox controls, they allow mobility not just sittin there mashin buttons. as for the title… GH: aerosmith… come on people make another guitar hero… w/ variety, whether it be metal and just all around hard rock.

Okay, first off, all these song people are listing off are too original. We don’t need slipknot, we don’t need system of a down, although a cradle of filth song would be pretty okay, guitar hero is known for their different genres of music they’ve put on the game. I would personally like to hear a different killswitch engage song, possibly holy diver by them. Maybe some johnny cash. What guitar hero should do is pick 3-4 different genres and put about 20 or 30 songs in each of those categories. I doubt that this would be possible, but they should put a song creator on their. But Death Metal would be taking it too far. Plus, most death metal sounds the same and is rediculously repetitive.
I would say that Slayer should be the farthest they go in terms of heavyness. They are afterall the creators of death metal.

And they were the Sex Pistols’ Anarchy in the UK(Johnny’s voice sounds horrible now; even though they didn’t have the masters they should have used the ‘76 Anarchy) and the Dead Kennedys’ Holiday in Cambodia(the guy who sang sounded NOTHING like Jello Biafra). I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again–GH needs the Clash (which, thank God, they put on GHA), the Ramones (GH1 put I Wanna Be Sedated; they should take a look at Rock N’ Roll High School sometime), Patti Smith (anything off of Horses), and possibly even the Misfits (Die Die My Darling).
