Guitar Hero 4 Will Have Instruments and More!

Reports from the Gaming News Industry are saying that details about the Upcoming Guitar Hero 4 are on their way via a preview in the latest issue of Game Informer. Lets do a Rundown of the new info for Guitar Hero 4.
Multiple Instruments!
Guitar Hero 4 is taking an obvious step it needs to take at this point in the series by adding more instruments to the game in order to compete with Rock Band. It is said that the game will feature The Guitar (of course), Bass guitar, Drums, and Microphone. I mean we all knew it had to happen and was going to, but I am definitely excited to play Guitar Hero with multiple instruments. Everyone knows how incredibly fun the drums are on Rock band.
Confirmed Bands for Guitar Hero 4!
There is also information about bands that will be featured in the new game and although there has only been a couple of bands mentioned that will be in the game, the list is looking damn good.
Confirmed so far:
- Van Halen
- The Eagles
- Linkin Park
- Sublime
I mean 3 of the 4 just mentioned are just awesome. I am not sure, but I would imagine The Eagles would be bringing Hotel California to the game which is a great song. Van Halen is just sweet and have a bunch of good songs. And Sublime is amazing also. I hope they get Santeria from Sublime. I personally don’t like Linkin Park very much, but who knows, maybe playing their songs will be sweet. It looks like Activision is listening to the fans becuase I have seen tons of requests for those bands to be included in the game.
Create A Song Feature!
I was personally not expecting this one. Apparently you will now be able to create your own songs to play!!!!! I guess they also saw all the modding and hacking that has been going on with the previous Guitar Hero Games and they decided to make it a feature. I think you can only modify the songs that are already on the game unfortunately. It would be sweet to be able to do your own songs somehow. The only thing that you can’t mess with is the songs vocals due to possible storage and copyright issues. And once you are all done making your new song all sweet, you will then be able to upload your songs so that other Guitar Hero Players can download and play your masterpieces.
Guitar Hero 4 will be released for PS3. XBOX 360, Wii, and PS2 and is due to be released Fall 2008.

Hey this hasn’t been CONFIRMED. This is a RUMOR. And I really don’t think they’ll add other instruments to this. It’s not Rock Band, its Guitar Hero. And we’ve all known they were going to do the make a song feature for a long time.

Umm, it HAS been comfirmed, just read it in the Gameinformer magazine. Those are the only four bands confirmed. The drums are going to consist of three drums and 2 cymbols which looks SWEET!! And they are adding something to the guitar which is going to change the way you play the guitar, but wouldnt let out the secret. It isnt something extra like the whammey bar, it is something you are actually going to have to do. Great website.

No, because the drums are different. Idk about the mic, but the drums definitely won’t work, there’s more pads on the new GH4 one.

All thas good with the instruments but they should make it so you can make ur own character now tht would be beast

WOW! i was a bit skeptical wen i first heard about the new instruments but the drumset looks cool and the create a song is probs 1 of the best additions and the secret addition to the guitar sounds like it could b more than 5 buttons or possibly solo buttons like rock band has but band hero 4, sorry guitar hero 4 is guna b cool.
rock band sucks, i bought the bundle for ps2 the guitar strum toggle feels like it has rigor mortis compared to the “used” guitar controller i bought for guitar hero, i sent it back to be replaced and the “new” one is just as bad, rock band sucks and if gh keeps coming up with fresh ideas like making band exclusives like aerosmith, though frankly i think they could have started with a better band, like led zeppelin, or someone like that, rock band is going to just fade away, just my opinion
The only problem I have with this new system (don’t get me wrong, it looks completely awesome) is that we won’t be able to play songs that don’t have lyrics in them. Guitar Hero 3 had some awesome ones (Cliffs of Dover, Impulse) plus songs in other languages that couldn’t go on the new Guitar Hero. That means no Hendrix or other great guitarists w/o vocals in the songs. Btw you will also be able to create characters and customize in-game guitars as well. I’m stoked.
