A look at the Guitar Hero 4 Drum Set *Picture*
As it was confirmed that Guitar Hero 4 would have drums and microphones added to the mix, we have been un able to see what these instruments will in fact look like…until now.
It looks noteably different than the Rock band drum set.
Guitar Hero 4 Drum Set V.S. Rock Band Drum Set
Guitar Hero 4 Drum set has 3 drum pads compared to rock bands 4 drum pads.
Foot Pedals seem relatively the same.
The one notable difference that you can see are the two cymbol like pads at the top. Im sure that will be their purpose. I think this will give it more of a real drum set feel to it.
The GH4 drum setup is a regular drum setup. If you look at all the components it is the game version of the drum set my brother got for christmas.

i think that the gh4 is going to blow the rock band away! i have the gh3 and i love it and i plan to get the gh4! will that is my 2 cents keep rocking!!! =]

i think that the adding of the drums although it was really cool for rockband is s dumb asset to GUITAR hero its guitar hero not drum hero anyways another thing is who the fuck wants to waste their money buying amother drumset wjen they already have one if they have rockband the rockband drums should be compstable with guitar her 4 who want 2 drumsets taking up space but other guiter hero keep rocking and eruption by van halen should def. be in a guitar hero
You are all idiates. I gave up on GH but than I got the June issue of the GameInformer. GH4 is way more than just adding the drums. You need to see the whole picture. And yes, Red Octane is out to topple RB.I say this saddly because after GH 1 and 2 I thought Red Octane blew it!
GH4 (and I don’t mean GH Areosmith) plays and looks and does an even better stage show than RB.

plus u can make your own songs on guitar hero 4, and share them on xbox live and even record an entire album like that, if your songs are rated high, then you will be able to add more created songs….the only bad part is the ability to make songs will obviously be drained by the ever present extremely high memory usage that ALL user created things in video games have

Guitar Hero 4 looks pretty ace, my only concern would be the price - they’re gonna try and charge at least £150 for it, if not £200+.

obviously guitar hero 4 will be better. I mean, the drums are velocity sensitive, and you can make your own freakin songs. How sweet is that?
Look, everyone knows that no matter what they do, massive crowds of people will buy any game in the GH series because GH is awesome. With rock band out a 1 instrument game is now in the past and GH needs to try and stay ahead of the other companies and they want to make as much money as possible.
I played guitar hero back in the day when it first came out. When Rockband came out, i was all over that too. Guitar Hero is a sweet game for solo fun. Rockband is more for multiplayer. I like the defined difference between them. The question i have, is why would a solo aimed game like guitar hero have to rip off a multiplayer game. Like are you serious? It’s guitar hero! not guitar plus drum set hero. It makes me like Rockband more. I think Rockband is going to blow guitar hero out of the water because who wants to spend $200 on guitar hero 4, when they already have the controllers for Rockband so they just need to buy the game. I think this will disapoint many of the true guitar hero fans who just want to virtually rock out. Another thing that is angering me about guitar hero, is the commercialization. I don’t want to play on a Pontiac truck or play an Axe brand bass, or have Gibsons logo thrown in my face. Seriously keep the true guitar spirit, which is the music. Thumbs down guitar hero. Thumbs down.
P.S. the drum set for guitar hero 4 looks friggin stupid. It won’t make it realistic, its a piece of plastic. You want realism, buy the real thing. The drum set just looks too complicated and confusing. The Rockband one was hard to adapt, but once you have, its quite simple. The Rockband is definately better.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I agree with everything you said BEFORE the P.S part. That’s like saying,”Grand Theft Auto is too unrealistic. Pick up a real gun and go carjack people.” Don’t get mad I’m just getting my point across. I also like Rock Band better and I don’t even have it. I just started playing GH3 and now that I find out that the 4th iteration is going to almost copy Rock Band (I understand that that’s the only way to stay alive in this huge rhythm game competition) but you don’t NEED the extra instruments. Maybe try to make improvements to what is already lacking in the series before you take a HUGE step forward.
don’t you know, rock band 2 changed their drum. Yes, you will have to spend at least $200 to buy it. So, you can buy Guitar Hero on tour if you want, because you will have to buy again the complet set on rock band 2. At least, on GH4, you have a complet pack Metalica.

Hi i really like guitar hero i have it on wii and i like playing the guitar and i have some drums in my bedroom and now i have herd from my friend that guitar hero now is going to be guitar, drum and singing hero i would now go and get rock band i think this is a really bad idiea from the creators as they are going take on rock band and rock band are obviously going to get better than guitar, drum and singing hero
