Now this is some damn sexy news if i have ever seen any. According to an SEC filing by Activision it is said that they will release Guitar Hero: on tour, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero World Tour, but on the end of that list is a Guitar Hero: Metallica, all to be released in the 2009 fiscal year. Activisions fiscal year 2009 ends March 21st, 2009 so it will probably be released after the big Guitar Hero World Tour game.
This is absolutely huge. Below Led Zeppelin, Metallica is probably the most requested band on this website and definitely one of the most desired bands for Guitar Hero by fans as a whole. They have many songs that would just be amazingly fun to play on Guitar Hero. I know I enjoyed "One". I can tell you one thing, this is going to be one hell of a year for Activison.

I hate Metallica. I hate all Death/Metal Crap. It's so stupid you can't even understand what they say when they sing. They just scream at the top of their lungs. How are you supposed to sing along to that on a video game? I have always stood by this: MAKE A GUITAR HERO: BON JOVI!!! THEN YOU CAN ACTUALLY USE ALL THE INSTRUMENTS AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SAYING!!!!

Alright Ben, obviously you do not know the first thing about metal. And FYI more than half of Metallica's songs are ones that are not shouted at the top of their lungs. I didnt like metal at first..i hated it. But when I actually listened to Metallica, I understood it and their songs have great stories. Thats why I love Metallica. All of their songs mean something and have a story and their solos are awesome. And just because they sometimes shout at the top of their lungs, doesnt mean they are saying devilish things. I guarantee you that you would like it if you knew what the songs meant.

Ben u fail. despite the name metallica is more of a heavy rock band than metal. With such an ignorant metallica hating comment u have disgusted me. Really there are no metallica songs that are death metal, while they do have some heavy songs they also have lighter songs like fade to black and nothing else matters. What makes metallica so good is their ability to appeal to a wide audience with many types of songs. S&M is my favorite live album. METALLICA ROCKS!

yea i agree with nick. i didnt really like metal then when i actually listened to metallica it made me appreciative. their songs mean something and their one of the few metal bands that dont scream and stuff. and even though they do its just who they are. all metal bands have to let loose once in a while. thats why they scream. metallica are the pioneers of metal so i think that a guitar hero of metallica would just be awesome. and ben im deaf in one ear and i even know what they are saying in their songs. and if you still dont like metallica or metal at all and dont know what their saying.....try listening to Enter Sandman. a rock and metal anthem that everybody knows the words too! metallica is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!
